Beirut
I want to take you to the corniche
Where the days unties behind the ruby sea
Where The Sun peeks with glimmering glee
Where The ray would fall beneath our feet
If it is going to take a while, my Sunkist
Brush the coal-warmth peck against my lips
Swing me like the tide that the ocean breaks against
Cover my sleep with the tightest lullaby
Until then,
We will wake up as king and queen.
To the reviving sunshine
And the past shall now be relived.
